Yes… these are my fellow South Carolinians.

On Monday, 18 April 2011, I happened to be in South Carolina’s capitol city of Columbia and had heard that one of my favorite nutjobs, US Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) would be headlining the Teabaggers’ annual anti-taxes event with SC Governor Nikki Haley (R) on the steps of the SC General Assembly.

As the reader can discern from the photograph, turnout at this event and others across the nation has bottomed out from the heady days before former SC Gov Mark Sanford (R) revealed to the world that he couldn’t keep either his pants or his mouth zipped shut.

However, that has not deterred the true believers from abandoning their cause.

Sigh…

You know, it really is difficult to feel anything for these people and their odious opinions, but I remain hopeful that one day they will realize that they haven’t been a part of the middle-class for a couple decades now and things aren’t going to get better for them if they keep ingesting by the mouthful conservative propaganda intended to disenfranchise them from the country of their birth.
